Ithaca 2030 District

We are proud to be a member of the Ithaca 2030 District. Ithaca is the first city in NY to join the 2030 District Network, the network creates a framework for improving urban sustainability, working with property owners and businesses to cut their energy use, water use and transportation emissions by 50 percent by 2030. We are constantly working to improve sustainability in our buildings and development projects.

About Ithaca 2030 District

The Ithaca 2030 District is an interdisciplinary public-private collaboration working to create a groundbreaking high-performance building district in Downtown Ithaca. A project of the Tompkins County Climate Protection Initiative (TCCPI), the Ithaca 2030 District is part of a larger effort in Tompkins County to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050.

By making the business case for efficient operations, the District is driving innovation through collaboration, leveraged financing, and shared resources. The District builds on the TCCPI model to provide a non-competitive collaborative environment where building owners, community organizations, and professionals come together to share best practices and accelerate market transformation in Ithaca's built environment.
